Partner venues: one card, two gyms

How door access control works in a climbing gym

Unstaffed hours are the cheapest capacity a climbing gym can add — and the easiest to get wrong. How access control actually works, what the hardware does when the network drops, and the decisions to make before you buy any of it.

How climbing gyms handle memberships, punch cards and pauses

Most climbing gyms sell three products at once: recurring memberships, punch cards and single entries. They behave differently, break differently, and the pause request is where most systems fall over. Here is how to structure them.

What is climbing gym management software?

Climbing gym management software runs memberships, point of sale, door access, waivers, bookings and invoicing from a single customer record. Here is what belongs in one, what does not, and how to judge whether you need one yet.

How much does climbing gym software cost?

Per-member, tiered, or a percentage of turnover — the three pricing models in this category, what each one quietly punishes, and the costs that never appear on a price page: terminals, door hardware, printers and the week somebody spends migrating.

Opening a climbing centre: a systems checklist

The wall gets all the attention. This is the other list: what to decide about products, forms, the till, doors, payments and accounting before opening day — and in what order, so that one decision isn't left waiting on another.

Turning paid web orders into a live competition entry list, without writing code

A competition sells entries through the web shop, and somebody still ends up copying names into a spreadsheet the night before. Here is the webhook that removes that job — the payload, the filter, and the four things that will bite you.

Digital waiver forms: what they actually need to do

A waiver you can't retrieve for a named person on a named day isn't a waiver. What a climbing centre's form system needs to handle — minors, pre-arrival signing, unstaffed hours, and the data-protection tension nobody talks about.
